Tiffany Pope is Mike Meckes' daughter. She graduated from Greenville Senior High and then graduated from The Ohio State University in June of 2000. She moved back to Greenville to follow in her father's footsteps and became an agent in July 2000 and has been enjoying her role in the office ever since.

Tiffany is married to Chris Pope and they have three kids between them: Carson, Callie and Charlie. Tiffany’s daughter, Charlie, has shared her love for horses with Chris’ daughter, Callie. Now both girls have their own horses and Tiffany is enjoying watching them learn and grow! Carson, Chris’ son, isn’t interested in horses (yet) but has taught the family all about geocaching. Between camping, horseback riding, geocaching, and soccer... the family stays busy and enjoys doing activities together!

Steve Myers joined Meckes and Associates in 1994. Steve is a lifelong resident of Darke County. He grew up in the Hollansburg area and now resides near Arcanum. He graduated from Tri-Village High School at the top of his class. He attended Edison Community College and graduated from North Texas Horseshoeing Institute and is now a farrier.

Steve is married to Lynne (Oswalt) Myers. They have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren and are active members of Castine Church of the Brethren. His free time is spend enjoying his grandchildren as well as participating in many different horse related activities with his family.

Mike Meckes is the owner of Meckes & Associates Insurance. He is a lifetime resident of Greenville having graduated from Greenville High School and then Wittenberg University with a business degree.

Mike started his insurance career with Jim Stanforth in 1982 selling life insurance. It wasn’t long before he and Jim partnered in a property and casualty business that ultimately led to Meckes & Associates Insurance.

He is married to Shelley Lowder Meckes and they have two grown children, Tiffany Pope and Dustin Meckes.

In addition to his interest in the insurance business, Mike is involved with horses as a result of his relationship with Shelley. She was an avid horsewoman and it was apparent that he needed to get involved too. It has become such a part of their life that everything that happened before Mike and Shelley met is now affectionately referred to as…BS…before Shelley!! They now spend as much time as possible trail riding. Both Tiffany and Dustin grew up riding and now Charlie (she…yes, she), Mike and Shelley’s granddaughter, is becoming quite a horsewoman of her own.

Kayla Young in the newest employee at Meckes & Associates. Kayla attended Versailles High School and then went on to graduate from Indiana University as a business major with minors in marketing and entrepreneurship. She began working at the front desk in 2016 and is looking forward to obtaining her insurance license and moving into the roll of agent.

Kayla fits right into our agency family as a fellow horse enthusiast. When Kayla isn’t in the office, you can almost bet she is in the barn or at a show. Kayla spends most of her weekends barrel racing on her horses, Oliver, Chip, and Stella.
